A Short Yet Comprehensive Biography of Pink (the singer)

It all began in the year 1979 when Judy and Jim Moore welcomed their second child, a person who was going to be known across the planet as ‘Pink’. The couple named their second child, Alecia. The full name of this awesome artist is Alecia Beth Moore. In the neighborhood of Doylestown, PA outside of Philadelphia, Alecia was being brought up in a middle-class household. As soon as Alecia was three years, she started admiring the rock stars and was pretty much into music already. In short, her interest in music was quite visible right from the childhood.

The early 90s was a bit troublesome period for Alecia as her parents could not get along well and got divorced. This has had an obvious negative impact on Alecia’s personality and she became an angry child. By the age of thirteen, she began actively participating in Philly clubbing and wrote songs, danced and sang across local public houses and bars. Later she got into drugs, drinking and heavy partying. Once she even took a heavy dose of crystal meth which nearly got her life. When she got eighteen, she got her debut record deal with LaFace Records.

In the year 2000, Pink made her pop debut with her very first solo album which she titled ‘Can’t take me home’. The year 2001 turned out to be an awesome time for the great singer as she gets the chance to contribute to the vocals of one of the super hit songs ‘Lady Marmalade’ along with Christina Aguilera. At the age of just 22 years, Pink won Grammy Award which was the time when, according to her, she was the happiest person on the planet. The great singer continues to enjoy tremendous appreciation from all over the planet and keeps up with great contributions towards world music industry.
